New House, Lumphanan, Aberdeenshire
Brief: Develop designs for a new large replacement house in rural Aberdeenshire.
Solution: This building was designed to sit into the hillside to the north. The designs were developed in a Scottish Baronial style, capitalizing on the natural solar heat gain and magnificent views out from the main façades facing to the South and West. The client was also keen to use Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) technology for the combined benefits of Cost, Construction Methodology, finished air-tightness and energy efficiency advantages.
Status: This project is currently under construction.
